Owner Tips
Illegal Dumping
The Association has been notified that someone has
been dumping grass clippings into a storm sewer.
Aside from being illegal, this is an extremely dangerous practice.
Clogged storm sewers, during any time of the year, are hazardous to the health
and safety of all CHE residents. If you have been disposing of your clippings in
this manner, please stop. Also, if you notice your lawn care specialist doing
this, please advise him/her this practice is unacceptable.
Pool Safety
Are you among the lucky neighbors
who own a swimming pool ? Do you hear it calling you as you sweat out these hot
summer days ? Please remember that you may not be the only ones hearing its
siren song. Our vacationing youngsters, from toddlers to teens, may find the
promise of a dip in cooling
water just as irresistible as you do. For the safety of all children in the
neighborhood, please be advised that it is solely the responsibility of all
homeowners with swimming pools to maintain a secure fence, with properly secured
gates, around their property at all times. There are some homeowners who are
failing to live up to this obligation, possibly inviting a tragedy to happen
that none of us, parent or not, ever wants to face.
So don't run on the deck; don't drip in the house; and don't forget to
lock the gate !
Pet Registry
Because children aren't the only
ones who may wander off, check out those latches even if you don't have a
swimming pool. With summer here and the kids home, doors and gates accidentally get left open.
Pet Registry has been a valuable service for many years to CHE pet owners
and non-owners alike. Should
you accidentally wander off, Fido or Fluffy will surely be most distressed.
If your special friend is not yet registered, click the
Directory
button to register your pet. That way, if you do get
lost, we can help your pet find you quickly.
